Rooted in Christ, Rising in Purpose—My Personal Journey

Not long ago, I found myself in a season of deep reflection. On the outside, things looked stable: I was working, serving in ministry, and pouring into Claimed By Him. But inside, I felt a disconnect—like I was going through the motions without truly being present. I asked the Lord, “What’s missing?” And His response was gentle but clear: “Are you still rooted?”

That question stopped me in my tracks.

Life has a way of pulling us in so many directions. We serve, we work, we build—but are we still rooted in the One who called us? That moment began a journey that would eventually lead to something beautiful: the birth of Rooted and Rising.

This conference isn’t just another event. It’s deeply personal for me. It came from a place of knowing what it feels like to be full of potential but spiritually drained. To have dreams and goals, but feel unsure how they fit into God’s plan. To wonder if the work you’re doing is really the work you were called to do.

Rooted and Rising was created to answer those questions—to create a space where women don’t have to choose between being spiritual and being successful. It’s for the woman who knows her career matters, but her identity in Christ matters more. It’s for the one who’s tired of compartmentalizing her faith and her profession. It’s for women who want to rise—but with roots.

Our theme, Rooted in Christ, Rising in Your Career, speaks to a balance that many of us are craving. I’ve come to believe that we are most powerful when we are most grounded. When our identity isn’t shaped by performance or position, but by purpose.

This event is not about hustle culture. It’s not about burnout disguised as blessing. It’s about alignment. It’s about surrender. It’s about learning how to listen for God in boardrooms and classrooms, in cubicles and kitchens—because He’s there, too.

On July 12th, we’re gathering in Jacksonville, FL, and I want you to be in that room. You’ll hear from women like Marlisa Payne, who followed God’s call into law long before she had all the details. Women like Angel Duncan, who serves globally as a strategist and speaks boldly as an ordained elder. Their stories are not just inspiring—they are real. They’re layered with obedience, sacrifice, and bold faith.
