For years, Psalm 119:25-40 has been taped to my bathroom mirror, but I didn’t realize God was using it to rebuild me.
I read these words over and over while standing in front of the mirror in the morning and at night...
‘Teach me.’
‘Strengthen me.’
‘Turn my heart.’
‘Preserve my life according to Your Word.’
At the time, I didn’t realize I was praying a rebuilding prayer.
I thought God was going to change my circumstances.
But He was changing me.
He was showing me what needed to be surrendered.
He was healing places I had protected.
He was replacing things I carried with His truth.
The rebuilding didn’t happen overnight.
It happened one prayer, one surrender, one moment of obedience at a time.
And now I understand…
God wasn’t just answering my prayer.
He was preparing my heart to receive the answer.”
