Dancing in His Glory: My Experience at the For His Glory Conference

Last month, I had the immense privilege of attending the For His Glory Conference—a dance conference hosted by the powerful duo, Victoria and Rodrick Reddish. I originally attended as a vendor, selling my baked goods and prepared to share my devotionals and connect with other women of faith. But in God’s perfect way, He had so much more in store for me than I ever expected.
Even though dance isn’t my personal ministry, I was captivated by how deeply worship was expressed through movement. From the moment I entered the room, I could feel the weight of His glory. It wasn’t just a gathering, it was an atmosphere charged with purpose, presence, and praise.

One of the most eye-opening moments came during a session on the making of worship flags. I had seen them used in services before, but I never fully understood the meaning behind them. Each color, each pattern, each wave of fabric carries a message. I learned that worship flags aren’t just accessories—they are instruments of praise and warfare. The process of learning the symbolism and spiritual significance behind them was a powerful lesson in how God uses even the smallest details for His glory.
Throughout the weekend, we dove into Scripture and explored how movement can become a form of ministry. To see dancers use their bodies to tell stories from the Word and express heartfelt worship was moving beyond words. I didn’t have to be on the dance floor to be part of the praise. We worshipped together, hands lifted high, as the dancers ministered around us. And let me tell you, the Spirit of the Lord was in that place. There was no performance—only pure, unhindered worship.
One of the sweetest gifts God gave me during the conference was a moment of quiet wisdom. I had the honor of sitting with a 92-year-old woman, and I could feel the depth of her faith radiating from her. Her words weren’t loud, but they were filled with power. She spoke from a place of experience—decades of walking with the Lord. She reminded me that worship isn’t always in what you say or do, but in how you live and who you are becoming. Just being in her presence was a blessing, and I believe our paths crossed by divine appointment.
There were so many moments that stirred my soul, but the grand finale of the conference was truly breathtaking. A beautiful, spirit-led display of dance, music, flags, and unified worship that honored the Lord with every movement. It was more than an ending—it was a crescendo of glory. Every step taken and every flag waved was covered in grace. It was as if heaven kissed earth in that room.
As I reflect back on that weekend, I’m reminded that even though I didn’t dance, I still participated. I worshipped. I learned. I was poured into. I experienced God in a fresh, new way through the ministry of movement. He opened my eyes to another expression of His creativity, beauty, and power.

To Victoria and Rodrick Reddish—thank you for your obedience to God’s calling. You created a space that invited us to not only witness, but to enter in. To the dancers and flag bearers—thank you for your vulnerability and boldness in worship. You reminded me that the body is a vessel of praise. And to the precious woman of wisdom who sat with me—you may never know the full impact of your words, but I do. You were my quiet teacher in a room full of movement.
I left the For His Glory Conference feeling renewed, realigned, and reminded that we all have a place in worship—even if it doesn’t look like someone else’s. Whether through writing, dance, singing, or simple surrender—God receives it all when it comes from the heart.
I didn’t go to dance, but I left moving differently. And for that, I give Him all the glory.
