What Can You Carry Differently Now?

Have you ever looked at your life and wondered if you are really growing? You still face hard days. You still have moments when you feel tired, hurt, or unsure. Because the struggle has not fully gone away, you may think nothing has changed.

But growth does not always look like a bigger platform, a longer list of wins, or more things to do. Sometimes growth shows up in the way you carry what once crushed you.

Strong Roots Change Your Response

Strong Roots Change Your Response

Think about a tree with deep roots. Wind may shake its branches, but the tree does not fall easily. Its strength comes from what has been growing where no one could see.

God often works in us the same way. He builds our faith in quiet places. He strengthens us through prayer, His Word, waiting, correction, and obedience. Colossians 2:6-7 tells us to keep walking in Christ, rooted and built up in Him. Our strength does not come from becoming self-sufficient. It comes from being deeply connected to Jesus.

When your roots grow deeper in Christ, your response begins to change. You may still feel the wind, but it does not move you like it used to.

Growth May Look Different Than You Expected

Spiritual growth can be easy to miss. It may look like receiving correction without falling apart. You can listen, pray, and learn instead of letting shame take over.

It may look like waiting without panic. You still want an answer, but you no longer believe that God has forgotten you. You can breathe, trust Him, and take the next right step.

Growth may look like loving someone without trying to control the outcome. It can mean serving without needing applause. It can mean telling the truth without becoming defensive. These may seem like small changes, but they are signs of stronger roots.

James 1:3-4 teaches that the testing of our faith produces perseverance. As perseverance does its work, we become mature and complete. The pressure did not come to destroy you. In God’s hands, it can help build steady faith in you.

You Can Carry It With Christ

You Can Carry It With Christ

Being stronger does not mean you never need help. It does not mean you stop feeling or become hard. It means you are learning where to take what you feel.

You take your fear to God. You bring Him your questions. You let His truth speak louder than the thoughts that once ruled you. You allow trusted people to support you. Most of all, you remember that you are not carrying life alone.

Jeremiah 17:7-8 describes a person who trusts in the Lord like a tree planted by water. Its roots reach toward the stream. When heat comes, its leaves stay green. The heat is real, but so is the source that keeps the tree alive.

That is the kind of strength God is growing in you. Not a strength that says, “I can do everything by myself,” but one that says, “Christ is holding me, teaching me, and helping me stand.”

Notice What God Has Built

Take a quiet moment and look back. What can you face with more peace now? Where are you less afraid? What truth can you speak with love? What can you release instead of trying to control?

Do not overlook the work God has done just because it happened slowly. Your deeper roots are evidence of His grace. The same God who strengthened you before will keep strengthening you for what comes next.

Call to Action

journal

Set aside ten quiet minutes today. Write this question in your journal:

“Lord, what can I carry differently now because of what You built in me?”

Ask God to show you one area of growth and one practical step of obedience. Thank Him for making your roots deeper in Christ, then share this message with someone who may need the same reminder. Be blessed.
